Shipping in Italy
How much does shipping to Italy cost?
Shipping is free on orders of €50 or more. Below €50 it costs €5. The cost is shown before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
In Italy your parcel arrives 24–48 hours after dispatch. We ship Monday to Wednesday: orders received from Thursday to Sunday leave the following Monday, so the parcel never sits in a depot over the weekend.
How do the cheeses travel? Do they arrive cold?
Yes. Where available we use the refrigerated courier BRT Fresh, which keeps the temperature controlled for the whole journey. Where BRT Fresh does not deliver, we ship in a sealed polystyrene box with ice inside. The cold chain is never broken.
How can I track my parcel?
When your order ships you receive an email with the BRT tracking number.
Shipping in Europe
Do you ship abroad?
We ship to 24 European Union countries with BRT, always in a sealed polystyrene box with ice. We do not ship outside the European Union, nor to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla or Andorra.
How much does it cost and how long does it take in Europe?
The cost depends on the country and the weight of the parcel, starting from €13, and is shown before you pay. Delivery usually takes 2–3 working days from dispatch. For Europe too, we ship Monday to Wednesday.
Which countries get free shipping?
In Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Monaco, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain (including the Balearic Islands) and mainland Portugal shipping is free on orders of €100 or more.
Orders and payments
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. The available methods are shown at checkout. All prices are in euros and include VAT.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, as long as the order has not shipped yet. Write to ordini@caseificioperrusio.com with your order number.
I haven't received the order confirmation email.
Check your spam or promotions folder. If it isn't there, write to ordini@caseificioperrusio.com.
Returns and delivery problems
Can I return a product?
We only sell food, both fresh and aged: under Italian law (art. 59, letters d and e, of the Consumer Code) the right of withdrawal does not apply, and we do not accept returns of undamaged goods.
My parcel arrived damaged, something is missing or the order is wrong. What should I do?
Write to us within 24 hours of delivery at reclami@caseificioperrusio.com with your order number, a short description and, if possible, a photo of the product and packaging. We will offer you a replacement or a refund. Please don't send anything back without contacting us first.
How long does a refund take?
If the refund is approved, you receive it within 10 working days on the payment method used for the order.
Our cheeses
What milk are they made with?
With cow's milk, worked every morning in our dairy in Meta, on the Sorrento Peninsula. Provolone del Monaco DOP is made with raw cow's milk from the Lattari Mountains.
Is Provolone del Monaco mild or sharp?
The sharpness of Provolone del Monaco doesn't come from spices: it comes naturally from ageing, at least six months. The 500 g and 3 kg sizes are milder; the other sizes have a stronger taste. You'll find the details on the Provolone del Monaco DOP page.
What sizes do you sell?
It depends on the cheese: Provolone del Monaco DOP goes from 500 g to 5 kg, Fior di Latte comes in 500 g (fior di latte), 700 g (treccia) and 1 kg (tortano), butter in 125 g, 250 g and 1 kg. You'll find all sizes on each product page.
Are there allergens?
All our cheeses and our butter contain milk. Some Farciti contain cured ham (Angioletto and Salamino farcito) or olives. If you have allergies or intolerances, write to us before ordering: we'll tell you exactly what each product contains.
Is Provolone del Monaco suitable during pregnancy?
It is made with raw milk: during pregnancy always ask your doctor for advice.
Storage
How do I store fior di latte and fresh cheeses?
In the fridge between 0 and 4 °C, in their liquid. Once opened, eat them within 2 days and don't freeze them. Take them out of the fridge 30 minutes before eating.
And aged cheeses?
Provolone, caciocavallo, provoloncino and caciotta should be wrapped in food paper, not cling film, and kept in the least cold part of the fridge. Once cut they keep well for weeks. Take them out of the fridge half an hour before serving.
What should I do when the parcel arrives?
Open it straight away and put the cheeses in the fridge.
