Shipping in Italy
How much does shipping in Italy cost?
Shipping is free for orders from €50. Below €50 it costs €5. The cost is shown before payment.
How long does it take to arrive?
In Italy the parcel arrives within 24/48 hours of dispatch. We ship Monday to Wednesday: orders received from Thursday to Sunday leave the following Monday, so the parcel never sits in a depot over the weekend.
How do the cheeses travel? Do they arrive cold?
Yes. All products travel vacuum-packed. Where available, we use the refrigerated courier BRT Fresh, which keeps the temperature controlled for the whole journey. Where BRT Fresh doesn’t reach, we ship in a sealed polystyrene box with ice inside. The cold chain is never broken.
How do I track my parcel?
When the order leaves you receive an email with the BRT tracking number.
Shipping in Europe
Do you ship abroad?
We ship to 24 European Union countries with BRT, always in a sealed polystyrene box with ice. We don’t ship outside the European Union, nor to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and Andorra.
How much does it cost and how long does it take in Europe?
The cost depends on the country and the weight of the parcel, starting from €13, and is shown before payment. Delivery usually takes 2–3 working days from dispatch. For Europe too we ship Monday to Wednesday.
In which countries is shipping free?
In Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Monaco, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain (including the Balearic Islands) and mainland Portugal shipping is free for orders from €100.
Orders and payments
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. The available methods are shown at checkout. All prices are in euros and include VAT.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, as long as the order hasn’t been shipped. Write to ordini@caseificioperrusio.com with your order number.
I didn’t receive the order confirmation email.
Check your spam or promotions folder. If you can’t find it, write to ordini@caseificioperrusio.com.
Returns and delivery problems
Can I return a product?
We only sell food products, fresh and aged: by law (art. 59, letters d and e, of the Italian Consumer Code) the right of withdrawal doesn’t apply and we don’t accept returns of intact goods.
The parcel arrived damaged, something is missing or there’s a mistake. What do I do?
Write to us within 24 hours of delivery at reclami@caseificioperrusio.com with your order number, a short description and, if you can, a photo of the product and the packaging. We’ll offer a replacement or a refund. Don’t send anything back without contacting us first.
How long does a refund take?
If the refund is approved, you receive it within 10 working days on the same payment method used for the order.
Our cheeses
What milk are they made with?
With cow’s milk, worked every morning in our dairy in Meta, on the Sorrento Peninsula. Provolone del Monaco DOP is made with raw cow’s milk from the Lattari Mountains.
Is Provolone del Monaco mild or sharp?
The sharpness of Provolone del Monaco doesn’t come from spices: it’s the natural result of ageing, at least six months. The 500 g and 3 kg sizes are milder; the other sizes have a stronger taste. You’ll find the details on the Provolone del Monaco DOP page.
What sizes do you sell?
It depends on the cheese: Provolone del Monaco DOP goes from 500 g to 5 kg, Fior di Latte comes in 500 g (fior di latte), 700 g (treccia) and 1 kg (tortano), butter in 125 g, 250 g and 1 kg. You’ll find all sizes on each product page.
Are there allergens?
All our cheeses and the butter contain milk. Some Farciti contain cured ham (Angioletto and Salamino farcito) or olives. In case of allergies or intolerances write to us before ordering: we’ll tell you exactly what each product contains.
Is Provolone del Monaco suitable during pregnancy?
It’s made with raw milk: during pregnancy always ask your doctor for advice.
Storage
How do the cheeses arrive?
All our products arrive vacuum-packed and chilled. Keep them in the fridge in their packaging until you open them: until opening, the date on the label applies.
How do I store fior di latte?
In the fridge between 0 and 4 °C, in its vacuum pack. Take it out half an hour before, then open it and eat it straight away. Don’t freeze it: it loses its texture.
And the aged cheeses?
Once opened, provolone, caciocavallo, provoloncino and caciotta can be closed again in their vacuum bag or in food paper and kept in the least cold part of the fridge: that way they keep well for weeks. Take them out of the fridge half an hour before serving.
What do I do when the parcel arrives?
Open the parcel straight away and put the cheeses in the fridge, still vacuum-packed. All the tips, product by product, are in the guide How to store our cheeses.
